Pizza,
Bible Study, Mafia!
What
began on a whim has now become a tradition among a growing number
of teens in the southern suburbs.
Teens
(ages 13-20) are welcomed alternating Saturdays to the Brown's home
in Glenvista to enjoy Karin's home-made pizza and Dave's Bible study,
followed by a couple hours of Mafia, home-made music videos, or
some other nonsense.
The
group began with four teens from the south encouraged forward by
visiting teens from Sandton Bible Church and Croydon Baptist Church.
Now, the group typically numbers more than 20, with most coming
from the south.
Based
on input from the teens who were attending, the first set of Bible
studies, were about friendship, relationships, and dating (handouts
below). Future studies will include topics such as racism, abortion,
whether God exists, whether Jesus is God, and prophecy.
